Traffic conflict reduction based on distributed stochastic task allocation

Abstract The aim of this paper is to provide preliminary results on a traffic coordination framework based stochastic task allocation. General trends and the predicted advent personal aerial vehicles increase rapidly, but current air management methods admittedly cannot scale appropriately. A hierarchical system proposed overcome problem, middle layer which elaborated in paper. This aims enable control behaviour using single parameter, achieved by applying distributed allocation algorithm used allocate speeds scalable way. By regulating speed distribution conflict rates remain manageable. Multi-agent simulation show that it possible ensemble dynamics together with safety throughput via parameter. Using transient simulations dynamic performance analysed. It shown reduction problem can be transformed into design problem. simple controller also evaluated. was controller, quicker transients for mean system.
